This 18th century penal cross is unique to Irish folk art. The arms of the cross are short so that it could easily be hidden up the sleeve. Hand cast Bronze resin. These Bronze resin pieces can be placed outdoors where they may acquire a green patina over time, that can be left to age naturally or polished occasionally with a soft cloth and beeswax to retain their shine.
