The Sunday of the Word of God, by Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization

To help parishes embrace the exciting opportunity presented by the Sunday of the Word of God to get to know the Bible better, the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization offers ideas and suggestions for a fuller celebration. In 2019 Pope Francis established the Sunday of the Word of God – to be marked each year on the Third Sunday of Ordinary Time. In his letter Aperuit Illis He encouraged every Parish in a special way “to devote this Sunday to is to be devoted to the celebration, study and dissemination of the Word”.
These Liturgical – Pastoral resources for 2022 have been provided by the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization and contain ideas and suggestions for a fuller celebration of this exciting new opportunity for people to get to know the Bible better.
