Ripon Medieval Hound Ripon Cathedral, Replica Church Woodcarving 15cm / 6 Inches Wide

Taken from the medieval carvings 1490 – 1495 from within the choir stalls of Ripon Cathedral. This magnificent and outstanding reproduction carving is know as The Ripon Hound. The carving is of a Medieval hunting hound and is found on the Misericords as a support carving. It’s a stunning carving of a Hound that’s in excellent condition and the reproduction captures all the fine detail that the master craftsmen put in to this piece of work over 500 years ago. This hand crafted reproduction has been produced from a mould taken directly from the original medieval carving and which captures all the fine detail applied by the master craftsmen that carved these in the middle ages, representing a true piece of history and heritage.
