Misericordia Crucifix, 37cm / 14.5 Inches High Handpainted, by Joseph's Studio

A wonderfully detailed and beautifully finished crucifix. This striking “Misericordia” (meaning mercy in Latin) Crucifix is based on the striking Italian Cross created during the 14th century, with depictions of Mary, St. John, St. Anthony, and St. Francis. The saints are arranged with St. Francis at the top, the Blessed Virgin on the left, St. John the Beloved on the right and St. Anthony of Padua at the base of the cross.
