St. Brannock of Braunton - Mounted Icon Print - Size 10cm x 14cm

Saint Brannock of Braunton. A 6th century Celtic monk. St Brannock appears to have come from southern Wales into Devon. Some say that he floated over from Ireland in a stone coffin. He is said to have founded a monastery at Braunton, near Barnstaple in Devon, where he is also said to have been buried.
