St Thomas Apostle Spoon
Saint Thomas. Also known as "Doubting Thomas" for he doubted the other Apostles account of the Resurrection. Eight days later, when Christ appeared again to the assembled Apostles, he was allowed to touch Christ's wounds and was finally convinced. He went to preach in Parthia and India where, in 72AD, he was stabbed to death with a spear. His feast day is the 3rd of July. He is the patron saint of architects, builders, stonemasons and the blind. He is also patron against doubt. The spoon shows him holding a spear. 17cm long.
